~ The Watch Tower ~

The Watch Tower is a newly renovated wooden tower located next to the old ‘gallop’, which was used for keeping an eye on the race horses during their training runs. Until 2003, Francis Erskine used to keep the times on his stopwatch for each of his race horses from the upper deck of the tower. The tower has 360º views around the conservancy, including the Acacia forest, the rise up to the dam and then all the way down to the shimmering lake below.

The Watch Tower is surrounded by a raised deck, perfect for outdoor dining and sunbathing, with a private area with a double outdoor shower. Inside, the raised ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a WC and a small dining table for romantic candlelit dinners. The first floor is reached by a beautiful hardwood staircase arriving at a cosy bedroom upstairs, complete with fixed bed, hanging space for clothes and niches for shelving with lots of good books to read and sockets for charging telephones and other devices.
