~ Things to do ~

Dairy Farm Tour:
Our elite herd of cows are milked by hand every day from 14:30 – 15:30pm. Please ask the staff for directions to the dairy or call the dairy manager, Vincent, on +254(0)726867618.

Boat Rides:
A boat ride is an opportunity to get closer to rafts of hippo, watch fish eagles darting for fish and experience the lake from the water. The boat operators are skilled and experienced and will always find a safe place for a refreshing swim in the lake on a hot day. The boat rides are charged by the hour and can take 6 passengers at a time.

Horse Riding:
A truly unique experience! Horse riding around our conservancy enables you to get up close to the wild animals without distracting them from their daily endeavours. It is 3,500 kenya shillings per horse per hour. You can organise your horse riding with staff at the club house or you can call the stables directly on +254(0)717449113.

Nature Walks:
You can walk freely around the farm, enjoy the shade of the acacia forest and roam where the animals roam. The animals are wild and getting too close can be very dangerous, especially to a buffalo or hippopotamus! The buffalo normally reside near the lake but you must always be vigilant when moving around on foot. We can arrange a guide to accompany you on your walk who will point out the different animals and birds that live here as well as keep you safe from the some of the larger creatures.

Bicycle Hire:
We have four bicycles for hire, either by the day or buy the hour. The bicycles are great fun for kids to explore the farm on or for adults to ride to the farm store or craft shops on neighbouring farms.

Night Game Drives:
Many of our most dangerous wild animals wait for nightfall to come out. Hyenas and hippos especially are very dangerous and should never be approached on foot. Luckily, we have our very own open-topped safari vehicle and driver that can be booked for night game drives to allow safe viewing of the nocturnal activity that goes on at sanctuary farm after dark. The car can take up to 5 passengers and blankets are provided.
